While many of the modules were enlightening and impactful, I've listed some of the most useful below:
In Module 6 we discussed the librarian's role as a curator of resources for their patrons. One of the most important skills that I must continually hone is my ability to curate resources for my teachers and students. Whether it is a collection of digital resources to support a social studies standard or a makerspace to give students the chance for inquiry and investigation, being a curator of resources is one of my most important roles. My curated collection of digital resources for teachers can be viewed HERE.
In Module 13 we explored the world of virtual reality and augmented reality. For me, this was the most fun module as I had the chance to explore some cutting-edge tools that are being used in businesses, governmental organizations and educational institutions around the world. My students are very difficult to engage...a VR or AR experience may be just the thing to get them excited about a particular topic. My post on VR and AR can be accessed HERE.In summary, I'm so thankful for all of the lessons I've learned during this process and look forward to my continued growth and opportunities to affect positive change in my school community.
